"THE JOHN McLUCKIE SHOW" broadcasts on Mondays from 8-9pm.
On September 13th 1997, "THE JOHN McLUCKIE SHOW" was unleashed on an
unsuspecting public.
The show continued until the end of the year, when I left for an
expedition to Chile, before returning in April 1998.
The show continued until September 1998, When I moved to Aberdeen
for a year. In January 2000 the show returned on a Saturday slot
until October 2000, when it moved to its current Monday night slot.
There have been many co-presenters over the years, With "UNCLE
SCOTT", "DAVE & HUGH JARSE" amongst the most popular, But the
current holder of this role is the enigmatic character known only as
"J".
Although the show is one of the longest running on Oban F.M., the
format has remained the same, with an eclectic mixture of music,
pointless innuendo, regular special guests, and local bands.
"THE JOHN McLUCKIE SHOW" is also home to the successful "OBAN F.M.
QUIZ", and there are annual football prediction competitions to take
part in.
As OBAN F.M. expands to a worldwide audience, I would be delighted
to receive any sort of feedback about the show.
